North Ayrshire and Arran MP Katy Clark has voiced her support for the third annual Older People's Day which celebrates the contribution that older people make across society.
Katy said, "Older People's Day celebrates the contribution that older people make to our communities whilst challenging the stereotypes of ageing. Many people fears growing older and Older Peoples Day is trying to create a different more positive view by celebrating the great work they do in our voluntary organisations, churches and community projects. More needs to be done to recognise this work and help establish a stronger link between different generations."
